
EDUCATION
Dr. Brody Magid attended the University of Michigan as an undergraduate, where she majored in Psychology. She then earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Health Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology-Alameda/San Francisco.
PRE-DOCTORAL TRAINING
Dr. Brody Magid participated in pre-doctoral externships at the University of California-San Francisco- Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and the Palo Alto Division of Veterans Affairs. Her internship at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation emphasized evaluation and treatment of patients with traumatic brain injury, strokes, spinal cord injuries, and movement disorders.
POST-DOCTORAL TRAINING
Dr. Brody Magid completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Adult/Geriatric Neuropsychology at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
CAREER/ACADEMIC AFFILIATION
Dr. Brody Magid was a Staff Neuropsychologist and Director of the Neuropsychology fellowship at McLean Hospital. Her work at McLean included inpatient dementia assessments as well as outpatient evaluations in the Memory Disorders Clinic. She also performed neuropsychological and psychological evaluations throughout the hospital.
Dr. Brody Magid spent many years working on acute inpatient Brain Injury team at Sutter Health-Alta Bates-Summit Medical Center in Northern California, where she evaluated and treated patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
In 2011, Dr. Brody Magid and her family relocated back to Boston. She then re-joined the staff at McLean Hospital in the Neuropsychology Department, conducting neuropsychological and psychodiagnostic evaluations hospital-wide including at The Pavilion, where she continues to consult.
Dr. Brody Magid is the Clinical Director of the Memory Disorders Assessment Clinic at McLean Hospital. She oversees clinic operations and performs cognitive evaluations with older adults with suspected dementia. Dr. Brody Magid is also the Interim Clinical Director of the Neuropsychology Department at McLean Hospital, where she helps to develop programs and facilitates services for patients in need of psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessments. She is an Instructor in Psychology-Part Time- at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry.
PRIVATE PRACTICE
Throughout her career, Dr. Brody Magid has maintained a private practice to complement her hospital-based work. She works closely with colleagues in other fields (Neurology, Psychiatry, Geriatric Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine) to help her patients achieve the best outcomes.
